February 2026 Updates!
Hey y'all!
After enduring a little bit of a snowstorm up here in North Texas, we finally got back into the swing of things and were able to have our annual All-Church Service at Mount Lebanon Camp, which is also where we normally host our fall retreat.
One of the really cool things about FOCUS is that when a ministry is planted on a college campus, there is typically a church planted nearby as well. That gives students a place where they can not only connect during the week on campus, but also have a church community to be part of on Sundays.
Over the years, as FOCUS has continued to grow and plant on more campuses, we’ve also seen more churches planted throughout the Metroplex that all share the same values and mission. So once a year, we all get together for one big service to celebrate that larger community.
It’s always such a fun event because it gives students the chance to see that they’re part of something much bigger than just their own campus. They get to meet students and staff from other ministries across the Metroplex and see how God is working in so many different places. It’s also really special for FOCUS alumni because many of them have moved to different parts of DFW after graduating, so the service gives them a chance to reconnect with old friends they may not get to see very often.
It’s one of those events that really reminds you just how big the FOCUS community has become, while still feeling like one big family.
Prayer Requests for February:
- faithfulness to God during the school year
- celebrate the gift of community
Remember, God loves you very very much and He has a special plan just for you. Go in the grace of God!
