2025 FOCUS Staff Retreat at Riverbend Retreat Center!

I had the privilege to baptize one of our students and my friend Miles after Corefa Retreat! Miles was in my core last year and is one of our student leaders this year.

Our first Thursday Night Fellowship of the year! We had over 300 students attend who got to worship, listen to a sermon from one of pastors Drew, and hang out afterwards.

Hey y'all!

This month was a lot of work, but it was so worth it because of how many students were reached during our Welcome Week events and our first Thursday Night Fellowship (TNF)! We had over 300 students attend our first TNF, and many of those students are brand new to our ministry. For two weeks (before and during the first week of school), the Denton FOCUS staff and many of our returning FOCUS students spent time at UNT, TWU, and NCTC, meeting and spending time with students. These two weeks are very important for the rest of the year and can make or break the year's ministry, so it's all hands on deck! Not only are we inviting students to TNF, but our student leaders are also inviting them to their weekly small groups (cores). 

I'm happy to say that outreach on the campuses went extremely well! There has been such an abundance of new faces that are eager to join our community and deepen their understanding of God. I can't wait to get to know and invest in our new students like I was invested in.
