Hey y'all!

Hello my wonderful donors! This month has been so much fun. If you read my blog last month you’d know that the first couple of weeks of school starting is when we do our big outreach pushes for the year. During that time we host events everyday of the week and encourage our current student leaders (corefas) to go out and evangelize to the campus. These first couple of weeks really sets the stage for the rest of the year and the fruit from our efforts has already shown. Our Thursday Night Fellowship meetings (TNF) have been great and we’ve nearly packed out the room every week with almost 300 students! God is so good and I can’t believe that my full time job is to talk to college students about God and help foster a community that pushed them to grow in their faith.

This month I also got to preach at my first TNF! I was really nervous but I have a great team that helped me edit my sermon and encouraged me during the whole process. Something else big that happened was my wife Claire got an ACL surgery done on the same day of my sermon. With all of these things going on, things have been a little hectic but she was a champ and surgery went perfectly, praise God!

September was full of lots of meetings (what we call one on ones) with new and old students in FOCUS. I’ve started a few Bible studies with students called “FOJs” (Focus on Jesus) where I develop a friendship with these students and discuss with them what life with Jesus looks like! Once a week I also get to meet up with some of our student leaders so that I can help debrief their week, discuss how to lead their student groups towards God, and pour into them as much as I can. It’s also been great to welcome our three apprentices! I’ve gotten to spend some time with one of our apprentices Casey, which has been so sweet especially since I’m able to relate to his apprenticeship experiences.
